Content removed

As a result of a (very friendly) phone call from Canlii, I have blocked access to all content to which Canlii claims copyright. This also means that the import, annotation, and tagging features for current users will be limited. Content that has already been imported may still be accessed, but you will not be able to import the text of new judgements. I will continue to update the federal and Ontario statute databases.

I was preparing a new version of this website to enable mapping of statutes and case law for litigation preparation and academic research. I will be delaying the release of this update until I can find a way to provide it in a way that Canlii approves or that does not rely on Canlii to provide the text of case law. While I believe there are arguments in favour of the service, I do not have the resources to respond to a lawsuit.
